ARE WE A NATION?
Maturity demands ability to accept
other person’s paradigm with patience and courage. Other person’s paradigm is
actually how they see the world based on their knowledge and beliefs.
Unfortunately we are unfamiliar with the term called “Maturity”.
Pakistani people have diversity in
their thoughts and beliefs. We are so rigid in our opinions that we don’t
accept other’s point of view. We are biased. Diversity in thoughts along with non-flexible
attitude resulted in sectarianism which lead the country toward social,
economic and religious crisis.
Sectarianism detracted us from common
goals. We don’t work for common cause which can lead the country towards
prosperity and piece.
Illiteracy and ignorance are the root
cause of extremism, discrimination and prejudice. People have set their
paradigms according to the family and society where they grow. We don’t bother about disrespecting other
people because of their beliefs. We tease them for having different domination
and faith. We treat them differently because of their paradigms.
We are not a nation. We are crowd of
people having no discipline and ethics. We are deprived off the true sense of
brotherhood and unity. Hate and prejudice have established its root in our mind.
We can’t grow as a nation until we
uproot prejudice and hate from our lives. We need to address the issues of
extremism and discrimination. Let’s keep
our internal differences aside and fight for unity, faith, love and brotherhood.
It’s time to stop blame game. Let’s go hand in hand and began a new journey of
love, respect and unity. Let’s make it clear to our enemies that we are a
nation not a crowd of people.
